Psalm 92

A Psalm or Song for the sabbath day.

It is a
good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto Thy Name, O most High: to shew forth Thy lovingkindness in the morning, and Thy faithfulness every night, upon an instrument of ten strings, and upon the psaltery; upon the harp with a solemn sound. For Thou, Lord, hast made me glad through Thy work: I will triumph in the works of Thy hands. O Lord, how great are Thy works! and Thy thoughts are very deep. A brutish man knoweth not; neither doth a fool understand this.

When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; it is that they shall be destroyed for ever: but Thou, Lord, art most High for evermore. For, lo, Thine enemies, O Lord, for, lo, Thine enemies shall perish; all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered. But My horn shalt Thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil. Mine eye also shall see My desire on Mine enemies, and Mine ears shall hear My desire of the wicked that rise up against Me. The Righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: He shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Those that be planted in the House of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing; to shew that the Lord is upright: He is my Rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him.

Evening Devotional

03.15 Evening:

The Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is.

The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth His handywork.--By the Word of the Lord were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of His mouth.--For He spake, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast.--Behold, the nations are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the balance: behold, He taketh up the isles as a very little thing.

Through Faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the Word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

When I consider Thy heavens, the work of Thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which Thou hast ordained; what is man, that Thou art mindful of him? and the Son of man, that Thou visitest Him?

Ex 20:11 Ps 19:1 33:6,9 Isa 40:15 Heb 11:3 Ps 8:3,4

The LORD is gracious

The LORD is gracious,

and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.
(Psalm 145:8)

The Word for the YEAR--
Romans 8:35-39 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For Thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

The Word for the month--
Psalm 18:3 I will call upon the Lord, Who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.

The Word for the day--
Psalm 9:10 And they that know Thy Name will put their trust in Thee: for Thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek Thee.

03.15 Morning:

Perfect through sufferings.

My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with Me. And He went a little further, and fell on His face, and prayed, saying, O My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from Me: nevertheless not as I will, but as Thou wilt.--And being in an agony He prayed more earnestly: and His sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.

The sorrows of death compassed Me, and the pains of hell gat hold upon Me: I found trouble and sorrow.--Reproach hath broken My heart; and I am full of heaviness: and I looked for some to take pity, but there was none; and for comforters, but I found none.--I looked on My right hand, and beheld, but there was no man that would know Me: refuge failed Me; no man cared for My soul.

He is despised and rejected of men; a Man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from Him; He was despised, and we esteemed Him not.
