For all flesh is as grass,
and all the glory of man as the flower of grass.
The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:
but the Word of the Lord endureth for ever.
And this is the Word which by the Gospel is preached unto you.
Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings, as newborn babes,
desire the sincere milk of the Word,
that ye may grow thereby:
if so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.
(I Peter 1:24-2:3)
The Word for the YEAR--
Romans 8:35-39 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?
shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For Thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
The Word for the month--
Psalm 25:8,9 Good and upright is the Lord: therefore will He teach sinners in the Way. The meek will He guide in Judgment: and the meek will He teach His Way.
The Word for the day--
Galatians 5:18
But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
Compare Spiritual with Spiritual (1 Corinthians 2:12-14; John 5:39)--
"But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law."
I Timothy 1:8-11 But
we know that the Law is good, if a man use it lawfully; knowing this, that
the Law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, for whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine; according to the Glorious Gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.
Romans 7:12-14 Wherefore
the Law is Holy, and the commandment Holy, and Just, and Good. Was then that which is Good
made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin,
working death in me by that which is Good; that sin by the commandment might become
exceeding sinful. For
we know that the Law is Spiritual: but I am carnal,
sold under sin.
Galatians 3:13,14
Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the Law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed
is every one that hangeth on a tree: that the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ;
that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through Faith.
Romans 8:1-14
There is therefore
now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh,
but after the Spirit. For the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the Law of sin and death. For what the Law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending His Own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: that
the Righteousness of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded
is death; but to be Spiritually minded
is Life and Peace.
Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the Law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. But ye are not in the flesh, but
in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not
the Spirit of Christ, he is none of His. And if Christ
be in you, the body
is dead because of sin; but
the Spirit is Life because of Righteousness. But if the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, He that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by His Spirit that dwelleth in you. Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die
: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
Again, the Word for the day--Galatians 5:18
But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the Law.

09.19 Morning:
The God of all grace.
I will proclaim the Name of the
Lord before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious.―He is gracious unto him, and saith, Deliver him from going down to the pit: I have found a Ransom.―Being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth
to be a propitiation through Faith in His blood, to declare His Righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God.―Grace and Truth came by Jesus Christ.
By grace are ye saved through Faith; and that not of yourselves:
it is the Gift of God.―Grace, mercy,
and peace, from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord.―Unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the Gift of Christ.―As every man hath received the Gift,
even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.―He giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.
Grow in grace, and
in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To Him
be glory both now and for ever. Amen.
