The Lord is gracious,
and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.
(Psalm 145:8)
The Word for the YEAR--
Romans 8:35-39 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?
shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For Thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
The Word for the month--
Psalm 25:1,2 Unto Thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul. O my God, I trust in Thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me.
Psalm 25
The Word for the day--
Jeremiah 17:7
Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose Hope the Lord is.
Here is some immediate context--
Jeremiah 17:5-8 Thus saith the Lord; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the Lord. For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited. Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose Hope the Lord is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.
Compare Spiritual with Spiritual (1 Corinthians 2:12-14; John 5:39)--
"Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is."
Psalm 1:1-6 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the Law of the Lord; and in His Law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. For the Lord knoweth the Way of the Righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
Hebrews 11:1,6 Now Faith is the substance of things Hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. . . . Hebrews 11:6 But without Faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a Rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.
Again, the Word for the day--Jeremiah 17:7
Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose Hope the Lord is.

08.29 Morning:
Whoso trusteth in the Lord, happy is he.
[Abraham] staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in Faith, giving glory to God; and being fully persuaded that, what He had promised, He was able also to perform.―The children of Israel were brought under at that time, and the children of Judah prevailed, because they relied upon the
Lord God of their fathers.
God
is our Refuge and Strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea.―
It is better to trust in the
Lord than to put confidence in man.
It is better to trust in the
Lord than to put confidence in princes.―The steps of a
good man are ordered by the
Lord: and he delighteth in His Way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the
Lord upholdeth
him with His hand.
O taste and see that the
Lord is good: blessed
is the man
that trusteth in Him. O fear the
Lord, ye His saints: for
there is no want to them that fear Him.
