The Lord is gracious,
and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.
(Psalm 145:8)
The Word for the YEAR--
Romans 8:35-39 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?
shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For Thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
The Word for the month--
Psalm 25:1,2 Unto Thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul. O my God, I trust in Thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me.
The Word for the day--
II Timothy 2:15
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth.
Compare Spiritual with Spiritual (1 Corinthians 2:12-14; John 5:39)--

"Study"
Hebrews 4:11 Let us labour ["study" 2Tim 2:15] therefore to enter into that Rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
II Peter 1:10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence ["study" 2Tim 2:15] to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:

James 1:12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried ["approved" 2Tim 2:15], he shall receive the crown of Life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love Him.
"workman"
Matthew 20:1 For the Kingdom of Heaven is like unto a Man that is an Householder, which went out early in the morning to hire labourers ["workman" 2Tim 2:15] into His Vineyard.

Hebrews 12:13 And make straight ["rightly dividing" is a compound of this Greek word] paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed.
Ephesians 1:13 In Whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the Word of Truth,
the gospel of your salvation: in Whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise,

08.20 Morning:
God is not a man, that He should lie; neither the son of man, that He should repent.
The Father of lights, with Whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.―Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
His truth
shall be thy shield and buckler.
God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of His counsel, confirmed
it by an oath: that by two immutable things, in which
it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the Hope set before us.
The faithful God, which keepeth Covenant and mercy with them that love Him and keep His commandments to a thousand generations.―All the paths of the
Lord are mercy and truth unto such as keep His Covenant and His testimonies.―Happy
is he that
hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose Hope
is in the
Lord his God: which made Heaven, and earth, the sea, and all that therein
is: which keepeth Truth for ever.
