Psalm 111
Praise ye the Lord. I will praise the Lord with my whole heart, in the assembly of the upright, and in the congregation. The works of the LORD are great, sought out of all them that have pleasure therein. His work is honourable and glorious: and his righteousness endureth for ever. He hath made his wonderful works to be remembered: the Lord is gracious and full of compassion. He hath given meat unto them that fear him: he will ever be mindful of his covenant.
¶He hath shewed his people the power of his works, that he may give them the heritage of the heathen. The works of his hands are verity and judgment; all his commandments are sure. They stand fast for ever and ever, and are done in truth and uprightness. He sent redemption
unto his people: he hath commanded his covenant for ever: holy and
reverend is his name. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: a
good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise
endureth for ever.
Consider--
John 5:39 ¶Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.
Luke
4:16-19 ¶And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as
his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood
up for to read. And there was delivered unto him the book of the
prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place
where it was written, The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he
hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to
heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and
recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are
bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
John 14:11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.
Matthew 9:6 But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins,
(then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and
go unto thine house. -- John 10:15-17 As the Father knoweth me, even so
know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep. And
other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring,
and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one
shepherd. Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life,
that I might take it again. No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down
of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.
Matthew 28:18-20 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go
ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the
Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: teaching them to observe
all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you
alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
John 6:55-57 For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.
As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that
eateth me, even he shall live by me. -- Hebrews 3:14,15 For we are made partakers of Christ,
if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end; while
it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts,
as in the provocation.
Jeremiah 23:6 In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.
Psalm 110
A Psalm of David.
A Psalm of David.
The
LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine
enemies thy footstool. The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out
of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies. Thy people shall be
willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from
the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth. The LORD hath
sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order
of Melchizedek.
¶The
Lord at thy right hand shall strike through kings in the day of his
wrath. He shall judge among the heathen, he shall fill the places with
the dead bodies; he shall wound the heads over many countries. He shall
drink of the brook in the way: therefore shall he lift up the head.
