"And seeing the multitudes"

Matthew 4:23-25-5:1-3 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the Kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people. And His fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto Him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them. And there followed Him great multitudes of people from Galilee, and from Decapolis, and from Jerusalem, and from Judaea, and from beyond Jordan. And seeing the multitudes, He went up into a mountain: and when He was set, His disciples came unto Him: and He opened His mouth, and taught them, saying, Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.

Matthew 9:36-38 But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd. Then saith He unto His disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that He will send forth labourers into His harvest.

"He went up into a mountain"

Mark 3:13 And He goeth up into a mountain, and calleth unto Him whom He would: and they came unto Him.

Micah 4:1,2 But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the Lord shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it. And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and He will teach us of His ways, and we will walk in His paths: for the Law shall go forth of Zion, and the Word of the Lord from Jerusalem.

Ezekiel 34:13,14 And I will bring them out from the people, and gather them from the countries, and will bring them to their own land, and feed them upon the mountains of Israel by the rivers, and in all the inhabited places of the country. I will feed them in a good pasture, and upon the high mountains of Israel shall their fold be: there shall they lie in a good fold, and in a fat pasture shall they feed upon the mountains of Israel.

"when He was set {G2523}His disciples came unto Him"

John 8:31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on Him, If ye continue in My Word, then are ye My disciples indeed;

John 15:8 Herein is My Father glorified, that ye bear much Fruit; so shall ye be My disciples.

John 6:37 All that the Father giveth Me shall come to Me; and him that cometh to Me I will in no wise cast out.

"and He opened His mouth, and taught them, saying,"

Luke 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He hath anointed Me to preach the Gospel to the poor; He hath sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

Psalm 84:5 Blessed is the man whose strength is in Thee; in whose heart are the ways of them.

James 1:9 Let the brother of low degree rejoice in that he is exalted:

Isaiah 57:15 For thus saith the High and Lofty One that inhabiteth Eternity, Whose Name is Holy; I dwell in the High and Holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

Isaiah 66:2 For all those things hath Mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the Lord: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at My Word.

Luke 4:43 And He said unto them, I must preach the Kingdom of God to other cities also: for therefore am I sent.

Luke 12:31,32 But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you. Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the Kingdom.

Again . . .

09.27 Evening:

Yea, hath God said?

When the tempter came to Him, he said, If Thou be the Son of God.―[Jesus] said, It is written, . . . It is written . . ., . . . It is written.―Then the devil leaveth Him.

I may not return with thee, . . . for it was said to me by the Word of the Lord, Thou shalt eat no bread nor drink water there, nor turn again to go by the way that thou camest. He said unto him, I am a prophet also as thou art; and an angel spake unto me by the Word of the Lord, saying, Bring him back with thee into thine house, that he may eat bread and drink water. But he lied unto him. So he went back with him, . . . The man of God, . . . was disobedient unto the Word of the Lord: therefore the Lord hath delivered him unto the lion, which hath torn him, and slain him, according to the Word of the Lord.―Though we, or an angel from Heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.―Thy Word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against Thee.

09.27 Evening:

(Genesis 3:1)Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

(Matthew 4:3,4)And when the tempter came to Him, he said, If Thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. But He answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every Word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. . . .(Matthew 4:7)Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. . . . .(Matthew 4:10,11)Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and Him only shalt thou serve. Then the devil leaveth Him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.

(I Kings 13:16-19)And he said, I may not return with thee, nor go in with thee: neither will I eat bread nor drink water with thee in this place: for it was said to me by the Word of the Lord, Thou shalt eat no bread nor drink water there, nor turn again to go by the way that thou camest. He said unto him, I am a prophet also as thou art; and an angel spake unto me by the Word of the Lord, saying, Bring him back with thee into thine house, that he may eat bread and drink water. But he lied unto him. So he went back with him, and did eat bread in his house, and drank water. . . .(I Kings 13:26)And when the prophet that brought him back from the Way heard thereof, he said, It is the man of God, who was disobedient unto the Word of the Lord: therefore the Lord hath delivered him unto the lion, which hath torn him, and slain him, according to the Word of the Lord, which He spake unto him.--(Galatians 1:8)But though we, or an angel from Heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.--- (Psalm 119:11)Thy Word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

The LORD is gracious

For all flesh is as grass,
and all the glory of man as the flower of grass.
The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:
but the Word of the Lord endureth for ever.
And this is the Word which by the Gospel is preached unto you.
Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings, as newborn babes,
desire the sincere milk of the Word,
that ye may grow thereby:
if so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.
(I Peter 1:24-2:3)

The Word for the YEAR--
Romans 8:35-39 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For Thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

The Word for the month--
Psalm 25:8,9 Good and upright is the Lord: therefore will He teach sinners in the Way. The meek will He guide in Judgment: and the meek will He teach His Way.

The Word for the day--
Matthew 5:1-3 And seeing the multitudes, He went up into a Mountain: and when He was set, His disciples came unto Him: and He opened His mouth, and taught them, saying, Blessed are the poor in Spirit: for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.

Again, the Word for the day--Matthew 5:1-3 And seeing the multitudes, He went up into a mountain: and when He was set, His disciples came unto Him: and He opened His mouth, and taught them, saying, Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.

09.27 Morning:

Humble yourselves therefore under the Mighty Hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time.

Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the Lord: though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished.

O Lord, Thou art our Father; we are the clay, and Thou our Potter; and we all are the work of Thy Hand. Be not wroth very sore, O Lord, neither remember iniquity for ever: behold, see, we beseech Thee, we are all Thy people.―Thou hast chastised Me, and I was chastised, as a bullock unaccustomed to the yoke: turn Thou Me, and I shall be turned; for Thou art the Lord My God. Surely after that I was turned, I repented; and after that I was instructed, I smote upon My thigh: I was ashamed, yea, even confounded, because I did bear the reproach of My youth.―It is good for a man that he bear the yoke in his youth.

Affliction cometh not forth of the dust, neither doth trouble spring out of the ground; yet man is born unto trouble, as the sparks fly upward.
