Romans 4:14-18
For if they which are of the Law be heirs, Faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect: because the Law worketh wrath: for where no Law is, there is no transgression. Therefore it is of Faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the Law, but to that also which is of the Faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all, (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before Him Whom he believed, even God, Who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were. Who against hope believed in Hope, that he might become the father of many nations; according to that which was spoken, So shall thy Seed be.
"the Faith of Abraham" Romans 4:9 Cometh this blessedness then upon the circumcision only, or upon the uncircumcision also? for we say that Faith was reckoned to Abraham for Righteousness. Galatians 3:5-9 He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the Law, or by the hearing of Faith [Rom 10:17]? Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for Righteousness. Know ye therefore that they which are of Faith, the same are the children of Abraham. And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through Faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed. So then they which be of Faith are blessed with faithful Abraham. Hebrews 11:8-19 By Faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went. By Faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise: For he looked for a City which hath foundations, whose Builder and Maker is God. Through Faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged Him faithful Who had promised. Therefore sprang there even of one, and him as good as dead, so many as the stars of the sky in multitude, and as the sand which is by the sea shore innumerable. These all died in Faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country. And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned. But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for He hath prepared for them a City. By Faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son, of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy Seed be called: accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; from whence also he received Him in a figure ["parable" Matt 13:3; Jn 8:56]. Romans 4:17-22 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before Him Whom he believed, even God, Who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were. Who against hope believed in Hope, that he might become the father of many nations; according to that which was spoken, So shall thy Seed be. And being not weak in Faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara's womb: He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in Faith, giving glory to God; And being fully persuaded that, what He had promised, He was able also to perform. And therefore it was imputed to him for Righteousness.
Hebrews 11:1,6 Now Faith is the substance ["Person" Heb 1:3] of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. . . . But without Faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is [ Ex 3:14,15; Heb 13:8], and that He is a Rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.
"the Faith of Christ" Hebrews 12:2-3 Looking unto Jesus the Author and Finisher of our Faith; Who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider Him that endured such contradiction of sinners against Himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds. Philippians 2:8 And being found in fashion as a Man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
Romans 16:25-27 Now to Him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the Mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, but now is made manifest, and by the Scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of Faith: to God only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ for ever. Amen.
I Peter 2:21-25 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow His steps: Who did no sin,[Rom 14:23] neither was guile found in His mouth: Who, when He was reviled, reviled not again; when He suffered, He threatened not; but committed Himself to Him that judgeth righteously: Who His own self bare our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto Righteousness: by Whose stripes ye were healed. For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.
Mark 14:27-28 And Jesus saith unto them, All ye shall be offended because of Me this night: for it is written, I will smite the Shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered. But after that I am risen, I will go before you into Galilee.
John 16:32 Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is now come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave Me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me.
Matthew 27:46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, My God, why hast Thou forsaken Me?[Psalm 22] Luke 23:46 And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, He said, Father, into Thy hands I commend My Spirit: and having said thus, He gave up the ghost.
II Corinthians 5:21 For He hath made Him to be sin for us, Who knew no sin [Rom 14:23]; that we might be made the Righteousness of God in Him.
Galatians 2:16,20 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the Law, but by the Faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the Faith of Christ, and not by the works of the Law: for by the works of the Law shall no flesh be justified. . . . I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the Life which I now live in the flesh I live by the Faith of the Son of God, Who loved me, and gave Himself for me. Philippians 3:7-11 But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for Whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, And be found in Him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the Law, but that which is through the Faith of Christ, the Righteousness which is of God by Faith: That I may know Him, and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable unto His death; if by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.
Romans 3:21-26 But now the Righteousness of God without the Law is manifested, being witnessed by the Law and the prophets; Even the Righteousness of God which is by Faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a Propitiation through Faith in His blood, to declare His Righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; to declare, I say, at this time His Righteousness: that He might be Just, and the Justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
Galatians 3:22,26 But the Scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe. . . . For ye are all the children of God by Faith in Christ Jesus.
. . . Jesus Christ, Who is the Faithful Witness,
and the first Begotten of the dead, and the Prince of the kings of the earth. Unto Him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in His own blood, and hath made us kings and priests unto God and His Father; to Him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
Revelation 1:5-6
John 8:39,56 They answered and said unto Him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham . . . . Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My Day: and he saw it, and was glad.
Galatians 3:29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
