The LORD is gracious

The LORD is gracious,

and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.
(Psalm 145:8)

The Word for the YEAR--
Romans 8:35-39 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For Thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

The Word for the month--
Psalm 18:1,2 I will love Thee, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my Rock, and my Fortress, and my Deliverer; my God, my strength, in Whom I will trust; my Buckler, and the Horn of my salvation, and my high Tower.

The Word for the day--
Ephesians 3:14-19
For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, of Whom the whole family in Heaven and earth is named, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner man; that Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in Love, may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; and to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

Hear this morning's devotional [Prepared by Jonathan Bagster (1813-1872)]

02.03 Morning:

Be strong, . . . and work: for I am with you, saith the Lord of hosts:

I am the Vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in Me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without Me ye can do nothing.--I can do all things through Christ Which strengtheneth me.--Strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might.--
The joy of the Lord is your strength.

Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Let your hands be strong, ye that hear in these days these Words by the mouth of the prophets--Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees. Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not.--Go in this thy might,

If God be for us, who can be against us?--Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;

Let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.--Thanks be to God, Which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
