II Corinthians 1:9,10

But we had the sentence of death in ourselves,

that we should not trust in ourselves,

but in God which raiseth the dead:

Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver:

in Whom we trust that He will yet deliver us;

II Corinthians 1:9,10

"But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves,"

Luke 9:23,24 And He said to them all, If any man will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for My sake, the same shall save it.

Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the Life which I now live in the flesh I live by the Faith of the Son of God, Who loved me, and gave Himself for me.

Galatians 6:14 But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by Whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.

I Corinthians 15:31 I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.

Proverbs 28:26 He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered.

Philippians 3:3 For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the Spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.

"but in God which raiseth the dead"

Acts 3:14,15 But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you; and killed the Prince of Life, Whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.

I Corinthians 15:15 Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that He raised up Christ: Whom He raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not.

Isaiah 26:19 Thy dead men shall live, together with My dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead.

Colossians 3:1-3 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your Life is hid with Christ in God.

John 5:21 For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom He will.

Ephesians 2:1 And you hath He quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; . . . (Ephesians 2:4-7) But God, Who is rich in mercy, for His great love wherewith He loved us, even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) and hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: that in the ages to come He might shew the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.

"Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: "

Hebrews 2:14,15 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He also Himself likewise took part of the same; that through death He might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; and deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

Psalm 107:1-8 O give thanks unto the Lord, for He is good: for His mercy endureth for ever. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom He hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy; And gathered them out of the lands, from the east, and from the west, from the north, and from the south. They wandered in the wilderness in a solitary way; they found no city to dwell in. Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them. Then they cried unto the Lord in their trouble, and He delivered them out of their distresses. And He led them forth by the right Way, that they might go to a City of Habitation. Oh that men would praise the Lord for His goodness, and for is wonderful works to the children of men!

Song of Solomon 8:5 Who is this that cometh up from the wilderness, leaning upon her Beloved? I raised thee up under the apple Tree [Song 2:3]: there thy mother [Gal 4:26] brought thee forth: there she brought thee forth that bare thee.

And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto His Heavenly Kingdom: to Whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

"in Whom we trust that He will yet deliver us; "

Lamentations 3:26 It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the Lord.

I Thessalonians 5:8-10 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him.

I Peter 1:3-5 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to His abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively Hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, o an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in Heaven for you, who are kept by the power of God through Faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

Titus 2:13,14 Looking for that blessed Hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

Hebrews 10:37 For yet a little while, and He that shall come will come, and will not tarry.

Isaiah 43:11 I, even I, am the Lord; and beside Me there is no saviour.

But we had the sentence of death in ourselves,

that we should not trust in ourselves,

but in God which raiseth the dead:

Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver:

in Whom we trust that He will yet deliver us;
