Jude 1:4 -- A Word search "Lasciviousness"

"Lasciviousness"

For there are certain men crept in unawares,
who were before of old ordained to this condemnation,
ungodly men,
turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness {
G766},
and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

(Jude 1:4)

Strongs: G766

766 ἀσέλγεια [A)SE/LGEIA] {asélgeia} \as-elg'-i-a\ from a compound of 1 (as a negative particle) and a presumed σελγής [SELGH/S] {selgḗs} (of uncertain derivation, but apparently meaning continent); licentiousness (sometimes including other vices):--filthy, lasciviousness, wantonness.

Mark 7:21-23 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness{
G766}, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: all these evil things come from within, and defile the man.

Romans 13:13 Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness{
G766}, not in strife and envying.

II Corinthians 12:21 And lest, when I come again, my God will humble me among you, and that I shall bewail many which have sinned already, and have not repented of the uncleanness and fornication and lasciviousness{
G766} which they have committed.

Galatians 5:19-21 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness
{G766},idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the Kingdom of God.

Ephesians 4:19 Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness
{G766}, to work all uncleanness with greediness.

I Peter 4:3 For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness
{G766}, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries:

II Peter 2:7-10 And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy
{G766} conversation of the wicked: (for that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;) the Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished: but chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.

II Peter 2:18 For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness
{G766}, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error.

Jude 1:4,16-19 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness
{G766}, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ. . . .These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling Words, having men's persons in admiration because of advantage. But, beloved, remember ye the Words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ; how that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts. These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.

Jude 1:20-25
But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most Holy Faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto Eternal Life. And of some have compassion, making a difference: and others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire
[cp.Heb 12:28,29]; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.

Now unto Him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, to the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.

Romans 16:27 To God only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ for ever. Amen.
I Peter 5:11 To Him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
