1 Isaiah 40:1,2 Comfort ye, comfort ye My people, saith your God. Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she hath received of the Lord's hand double for all her sins [cp Isa 53:10].

2 Psalm 118:1 O give thanks unto the Lord; for He is good: because His mercy endureth for ever.

3 John 14:15-18 ¶If ye love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you for ever; even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth Him not, neither knoweth Him: but ye know Him; for He dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

4 Philippians 2:1,2 If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies, fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.

5 Romans 15:5,6 Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus: that ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

6 Psalm 119:76 ¶Let, I pray Thee, Thy merciful kindness be for My comfort, according to Thy Word unto Thy Servant.

7 II Corinthians 1:4,5 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ.

31 I Peter 1:3-5 ¶Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to His abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a Lively Hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, who are kept by the power of God through Faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
