The Voice of the Lord

1Thessalonians 4:16-18 For the Lord Himself shall descend from Heaven with a shout, with the Voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

When the Lord descends from Heaven and His saints are caught up together--will He be utterly SILENT while an archangel shouts and a trump sounds? Or is the Lord telling us that the SHOUT is His Voice-- that His Voice is the Trump of God--the Voice of the Archangel?

Compare these Scriptures (I Corinthians 2:13,14)--

"the trump of God"

Exodus 19:16 And it came to pass on the third day in the morning, that there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the mount, and the Voice of the trumpet exceeding loud; so that all the people that was in the camp trembled.

Hebrews 12:18,19 For ye are not come unto the mount that might be touched, and that burned with fire, nor unto blackness, and darkness, and tempest, and the sound of a trumpet, and the Voice of Words; which Voice they that heard intreated that the Word should not be spoken to them any more:

Revelation 1:10-12 I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a Great Voice, as of a trumpet, Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea. And I turned to see the Voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks;

Revelation 4:1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first Voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.

"the Voice of the archangel"

Jude 1:9 Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.

Zechariah 3:2 And the LORD said unto Satan, The LORD rebuke thee, O Satan; even the Lord that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: is not this a brand plucked out of the fire?

Daniel 12:1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the Great Prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.

Acts 3:14,15 But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you; and killed the Prince of Life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.

Acts 5:31 Him hath God exalted with His right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.

Revelation1:5,6 And from Jesus Christ, Who is the Faithful Witness, and the First Begotten of the dead, and the Prince of the kings of the earth. Unto Him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, and hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

So
when the Lord descends from Heaven and His saints are caught up together--will He be utterly SILENT while an archangel shouts and a trump sounds? Or is the Lord telling us that the SHOUT is His Voice-- that His Voice is the Trump of God--the Voice of the Archangel?

1Thess 4:16-18 For the Lord Himself shall descend from Heaven with a shout, with the Voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

PSALM 29
A Psalm of David.

Give unto the LORD, O ye mighty, give unto the LORD glory and strength. Give unto the LORD the glory due unto His Name; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.
The Voice of the LORD is upon the waters: the God of glory thundereth: the LORD is upon many waters. The Voice of the LORD is powerful; the Voice of the LORD is full of majesty. The Voice of the LORD breaketh the cedars; yea, the LORD breaketh the cedars of Lebanon. He maketh them also to skip like a calf; Lebanon and Sirion like a young unicorn. The Voice of the LORD divideth the flames of fire. The Voice of the LORD shaketh the wilderness; the LORD shaketh the wilderness of Kadesh. The Voice of the LORD maketh the hinds to calve, and discovereth the forests: and in His Temple doth every one speak of His glory. The LORD sitteth upon the flood; yea, the LORD sitteth KING for ever. The LORD will give strength unto His people; the LORD will bless His people with Peace.
