The LORD is gracious,
and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.
(Psalm 145:8)
The Word for the YEAR--
Romans 8:35-39 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For Thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
The Word for the month--
Psalm 18:3 I will call upon the Lord, Who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.
The Word for the day--
Philippians 1:29 For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on Him, but also to suffer for His sake;
Here is the entire sentence--
Philippians 1:29,30 For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on Him, but also to suffer for His sake; having the same conflict which ye saw in me, and now hear to be in me.
Compare Spiritual with Spiritual (1 Corinthians 2:12-14; John 5:39)--
"it is given in the behalf of Christ, . . . to believe on Him"
Ephesians 2:8-10 For by grace are ye saved through Faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
John 6:29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on Him Whom He hath sent.
"it is given in the behalf of Christ . . .to suffer for His sake"
Philippians 1:30 Having the same conflict which ye saw in me, and now hear to be in me.
I Corinthians 4:11-13 Even unto this present hour we both hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and have no certain dwellingplace; and labour, working with our own hands: being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer it: being defamed, we intreat: we are made as the filth of the world, and are the offscouring of all things unto this day.
Romans 8:36 As it is written [Psalm 44], For Thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
Acts 5:41 And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for His Name.
Again, the Word for the day--Philippians 1:29 For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on Him, but also to suffer for His sake;

03.28 Morning:
The Lord is my Light and my Salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the Strength of my Life; of whom shall I be afraid?--He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might He increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: but they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.--My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my Portion for ever.
If God be for us, who can be against us?--The Lord is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?--Through Thee will we push down our enemies: through Thy Name will we tread them under that rise up against us.--We are more than conquerors through Him that loved us.
Arise therefore, and be doing, and the Lord be with thee.
