The LORD is gracious

For all flesh is as grass,
and all the glory of man as the flower of grass.

The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:
but the Word of the Lord endureth for ever.
And this is the Word which by the Gospel is preached unto you.Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings, as newborn babes,
desire the sincere milk of the Word,
that ye may grow thereby:
if so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.
(I Peter 1:24-2:3)

The Word for the YEAR--
Romans 8:35-39 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For Thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

The Word for the month--
Psalm 25:8,9 Good and upright is the Lord: therefore will He teach sinners in the Way. The meek will He guide in Judgment: and the meek will He teach His Way.

The Word for the day--
John 16:7-11 Nevertheless I tell you the Truth; it is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send Him unto you. And when He is come, He will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: of sin, because they believe not on Me; of righteousness, because I go to My Father, and ye see Me no more; of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.

09.07 Morning:

Rejoicing in Hope.

The Hope which is laid up for you in Heaven.―If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.―We must through much tribulation enter into the Kingdom of God.―Whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after Me, cannot be My disciple.―No man should be moved by these afflictions: for yourselves know that we are appointed thereunto.

Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.―The God of Hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in Hope, through the Power of the Holy Ghost.―Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to His abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a Lively Hope by the Resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. . . . Whom having not seen, ye love; in Whom, though now ye see Him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory.―By Whom also we have access by Faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in Hope of the glory of God.
